Justine: I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Bristol Veterinary School in 1995, and joined a mixed practice in Newquay and spent three and a half years there. I did a mixture of small animal and farm work. I was also involved with the animals at nearby Newquay Zoo and dealt with various cases ranging from darting Monkeys to suture their wounds to treating anorexic Pumas.
I joined Woodlands in 1998 as a full time vet but am now carrying out part time work due to taking time out to have my two children.
My particular interests are anaesthesia and small furries, who I feel often get a raw deal especially children’s pets like rabbits, who are often kept in hutches so small they can barely turn around in them.

Steve: Qualified from Bristol in 1995 and then began work in a mixed practice in Cornwall for 3 years. He then worked for the PDSA in Plymouth for 4 years and joined Woodlands in 2002.
Outside of work we both enjoy walking and spending time with the children and our menagerie of pets which include our Lurcher, Cat, House Rabbits and 4 Guinea Pigs.
